Make time on Saturday or Sunday for Summerfest

Written by Becky Guy on .

Join us July 15th & 16th for the 38th Annual Summerfest, a family-friendly festival of art, crafts, music, and beer! This weekend of fun is located at the Buchanan Park athletic fields. Hours are 10 am to 6 pm Saturday and 10 am to 5 pm Sunday. Admission to the festival is $5 for adults; children are free. All proceeds benefit Center for the Arts Evergreen.

There is nothing better than Evergreen in the summer with its sun-filled days and gentle mountain breezes. Summerfest features over 120 artists and craftspeople from across the country, with plenty of handmade treasures for you and everyone on your gift list. Artists bring a variety of mediums, including ceramics, digital art, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture, wood and more!

From empanadas to BBQ to noodles, fabulous food vendors will tantalize your taste buds throughout the event. We invite you to grab a bite, sit under the big tent for some shade, and listen to live music by local favorites like Joe Bye. A children’s activity area will keep the younger visitors entertained while they create their own art treasures.

Evergreen’s premier beer tasting event, Palette of Brews, now in its fifth year, features Colorado microbreweries serving unlimited tastes to ticket holders 21 years of age an older. This tasting event is Saturday only, 11 am to 5 pm. Your ticket to the unlimited tastes is only $20 for online advanced sales and $25 at the festival. In addition there will be beer, wine, and margaritas from sponsor Coyote Gold for sale for those who want more than a taste.

Parking locations include most of the adjacent Buchanan Rec Center lots, the office park lots south of the Buchanan Ponds off of Castle Ct., and the RTD lot north of the festival. No smoking or pets are allowed at the festival site. For more information please call 303.674.0056.
