The Gracious Lady of the Gardens

March 18th, Saturday at 10:30 am at Hiwan Museum • Teri Johnson will present her portrayal of Mary Elitch, 'The Gracious Lady of the Gardens' A JCHS presentation in honor of Women in History Month. Teri brings Mary Elitch to life as she tells of the opening of Elitch Gardens in 1890 and the ongoing success of bringing arts and entertainment to garden visitors over time. Light morning refreshments will be served. Reservations not necessary.  Donation only.

Buffalo Bill Cody

April 22nd, Saturday at 1:00 pm at the Timbervale Barn • Jeff Norman presents a one-man show with his depiction of Buffalo Bill Cody. Norman will present an exciting glimpse into Cody's life and adventures on the frontier and beyond. Make a point of visiting our exhibit, 'Buffalo Bill: The Conservationist You Never Knew' in Hiwan Museum before or after the show. Reserve a seat for the show at 720-497-7650. $10 admission for JCHS members; $12 for non-members. 

Landscape Shapes History

May 13th, Saturday at 9 am to 2 pm at the Timbervale Barn • The Jefferson County Historical Commission invites you to the Historic Preservation Symposium, 'Landscape Shapes History' Guest speakers and panel discussions highlight the link between the varied Jeffco environmental features and our human history.
