"The Cody Magic Returns"

Written by Staff Editor on .

Cody Ray Slaughter, the 2011 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist, will be back by popular demand. After sold-out crowds for the past two years, Cody will once again appear at the Lakewood Cultural Center with all proceeds going to benefit Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice.

He will be singing a number of new songs, with a few "twists" as well as the Elvis classics which have endured over the years. "The Cody Magic Returns" will be held on Saturday, September 30 at 7:30 pm and on Sunday, October 1 at 3:00 pm. If tickets sell as quickly as expected, a third show will be added on Friday, September 29 at 7:30 pm. And this year, Cody will be backed by The David Fontana Band. David is the son of D.J. Fontana, Elvis's very first drummer!

After the performance, Cody will be available at the "Meet and Greet" for pictures, autographs and merchandise.

This year, a new feature: VIP tickets will be available for patrons. These tickets provide seating in the first 3 rows of the theatre and the opportunity to meet Cody and the band members at a one-hour reception two hours before curtain time!

Tickets for the concerts will go on sale on Monday, May 15 at 10:00 am. They can be purchased online at www.lakewood.org/tickets, by phone at 303-987-7845 or to avoid handling fees, tickets will be available at the Lakewood Cultural Center Box Office, 470 S. Allison Pkwy., Lakewood.
