The 12th Annual Mountain Area Home and Garden Show returns to Conifer High School this spring, bringing an impressive line-up of local and regional home improvement vendors face-to-face with our community. The Show is presented by the Rotary Clubs of Conifer and Evergreen each year, with strong support from local sponsors.
This year’s dates are Saturday April 22nd (9.00 am - 5.00 pm) and Sunday April 23rd (10.00 am – 3.00 pm) at Conifer High School.
Entry is $5.00 at the door (or online), or a donation of two tins of food for the Mountain Resource Center’s food pantry. (Last year, 500 pounds of food was collected for EChO’s food bank).
The event was last held in Conifer in 2015 when over 2,200 people attended. Not only were they able to meet with vendors and learn about their products and services, they also enjoyed various free professional educational seminars about how to improve your ‘Home & Garden’.
The show accommodates approximately 100 vendors and usually sells out. There were still a few exhibitor booths available at press-time; log on to www.homeshowcolorado.com for details. It's a great opportunity for companies to display their products and services to our mountain community. Vendors represent almost everything you can think of that’s related to “Home & Garden.” You can check out last year’s exhibitors on www.homeshowcolorado.com.
Last year, nearly 300 show visitors took the time to complete a survey about event. Results show 60% bought something at the show (other than food) and 42% said they intended to buy something from a vendor at the show within the next three months. When asked how they rated the show, 65% rated it 5 out of a highest rating of 5, with a total of 94% rating the show either a 4 or 5.
Proceeds from last year’s show were re-distributed to local area non-profits and charitable causes across the foothills. Last year was a record year with many local non-profits benefiting from the show’s success, such as Road Warriors (CDOT's Adopt a Highway Program), RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) Mountain Reads (adult literacy), Mountain Backpacks (food for local families), Imagination Library (books for children), the seniors’ Thanksgiving Luncheon, Diversity Day at Evergreen High School and funding for college scholarships. These are just some of the local programs that the Evergreen and Conifer Rotary Clubs will be investing the funds they will receive from the proceeds of this year’s Mountain Area Home and Garden Show.
The Rotary Clubs of Evergreen and Conifer look forward to seeing you at this family-fun occasion at Conifer High School on April 22 and 23rd.
